All the judges winners were exhibited together so all visitors could see the judges choices and the runners up and reserves photographs were all placed first on each category board heading. All other entries were placed in their chosen categories and it made a fantastic exhibition. Over the Middlewich Folk and Boat Weekend it was now up to the visiting public to choose their favourite photograph out of a record entry of 124. The entries were all brilliant and the public had trouble picking their favourite photograph.

Comments were all positive ‘Great talent’ ‘Fantastic to see so many good entries, difficult to choose’. For some it was the first competition they had entered and to see their picture up in an exhibition was a real boost. Also fantastic was the record entry of young photographers in our 11-17 year category, a big well done, especially for Hannah McEnaney whose photograph ‘Proud Parents & first Swim’ was not only chosen by the judges as reserve in her category but also got selected as the winner of the ‘People’s Choice Award’. Well done to Hannah! Hannah’s picture won with 24 votes, 2nd was ‘Wheelock Street Now and Then’ by Glen Leigh with 19 votes and third with 18 votes was ‘Childs Play’ by Sue Bailey.

‘We are very impressed with the standard of entries this year. The level of work and creativity is a big improvement on previous years. Well done to all involved’ –  Judge Mark Williamson

The ‘Your Heritage’ Photographic Competition, is now in its fifth year and its bigger and better then before!

Well-deserved congratulations to everyone who entered, for your time, composure of photographs and artistic imagery, making this competition the hardest fought yet.
